Thinking about retirement?

GET CLARITY ABOUT YOUR TRANSITION

For most people, transitioning into retirement is a huge life change, which takes time to get used to. Career life is like travelling along a freeway at 110kmh. It makes sense to slow down to 70kmh on the exit ramp, before you fully exit the workforce. The old model of work full time for 40 years, then resign and enjoy a life of leisure is being replaced with new ideas about ways you can better manage this phase in your life. So taking  your time to build your game plan and transition at your own pace is a wise move.

IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO TALK TO YOUR MANAGER

It's important to understand all the available options which are available to you in your final years of work. After you have completed your "What's changing for me?" exercise (see above) we recommend the next conversation you have is with your manager. They will be interested to know your plans. Whilst this may be a conversation which is hard to have (as many people can feel nervous discussing life beyond work), it's good to discuss options with them.

YOU'LL NEED A RETIREMENT GAME PLAN

Winston Churchill once said 'He who fails to plan is planning to fail'. It is essential you enter this new phase of life with a holistic game plan. My Game Plan enables you to create yours. Watch this video and click the download button to find out more about this new five week program.
